latest trends in podiatry.
Dr. Craig M. Kaufman grew up in Brooklyn, NY (sometimes you'll hear the
accent!) and graduated from
Midwood High School. He attended
Binghamton University
in Binghamton, NY and graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts in Economics in
1994. While at BU, he was on the Dean's List and involved with Tau Epsilon Phi
Fraternity.
Dr. Kaufman's heart, however, lay with medicine, and he attended
Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine
in Philadelphia, graduating with his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 1998. He
was a member of Pi Delta National Honor Society from 1996-1998 and the
Stirling Harford Honorary Anatomical Society from 1995-1998, serving as the
organization's secretary from 1995-1996.
Residency took Dr. Kaufman to the Kentucky Podiatric Residency Program, where
he was a resident at the
University of Louisville Hospital
PSR 36 in Louisville, KY from 1998-2001. He served as the Chief Resident from
1999-2001. Dr. Kaufman was board certified by the
American Board of Podiatric Surgery
in 2006. His special interest in the field of podiatry is sports medicine.
Dr. Kaufman has been married 20 years and has two children, Drew, 14, and
Hannah, 11. His wife Allison is an occupational therapist and works with
specials needs students in Glastonbury. While not treating his patients, Dr.
Kaufman likes to play basketball, volleyball (of which he plays on leagues),
skiing, camping, hiking, and traveling.
Dr. Latif was born and raised in Egypt and graduated from the Faculty of
Veterinary Medicine at
Cairo University. He came to the United States and decided to pursue his dream of becoming a
podiatric physician. In 2005 Dr. Latif graduated from
New York College of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Latif is married to Neveen and they have two children, Anthony, and
Justine. While not working towards bringing you your happiest feet, Dr. Latif
likes to travel, fish, and swim.
Dr. Brockington grew up in Dallas, Texas and graduated from the
University of Texas-Austin
with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He earned his Doctorate of
Podiatric Medicine at
Temple University
in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then completed a rigorous three year
podiatric surgical residency at
Yale-New Haven Hospital
in New Haven, Connecticut. During his tenure at Yale, he trained
extensively with some of the top doctors in foot, ankle, and plastic
surgery. He served as Chief Resident during his final year and received
the prestigious Residency Excellence Award for his outstanding performance.
After completing residency, Dr. Brockington was in private practice for
several years in Dallas, Texas before relocating back to Connecticut. He has
been primarily at the Bristol office location since 2021. He is double board
certified by the
American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery
in foot and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. He has special
interests in bunion correction, sports-related injuries, foot and ankle
reconstruction, and limb salvage. He is a member of the
Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association
and the
American Podiatric Medical Association. His hospital affiliations include Bristol Hospital, and Trinity Health of
New England-St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center.
Dr. Brockington has been providing high quality and compassionate care for his
Bristol and Rocky Hill patients since 2021. He is happily married and has two
daughters, Madeline and Katherine. While not working, he enjoys spending time
outdoors hiking, skiing, and playing with his two daughters. He is also an
amateur woodworker and guitarist.
Dr. Brown is thrilled to join Connecticut Foot Care Centers as an associate
podiatrist, bringing with her a dedication to delivering top-notch foot and
ankle care.
A native of the East Coast, Dr. Brown was born and raised in New York. She
completed her undergraduate education at Stony Brook University, earning a
Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Studio Art. She received
her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania, then completed her three-year residency in Foot and Ankle
surgery at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco, CA, an affiliate of
UCSF, Kaiser, Sutter, and Alameda Health systems.
During her training, Dr. Brown focused on various aspects of Podiatric
Medicine, including limb salvage, trauma, and minimally invasive procedures,
gaining invaluable experiences. Her patient-centered approach and meticulous
attention to detail define her practice philosophy, and she is committed to
enhancing the well-being of each individual she treats. Dr. Brown remains
current with the latest advancements in Podiatric Medicine through ongoing
education. She is eager to contribute to the esteemed team at Connecticut
Foot Care Centers and looks forward to serving the community with
comprehensive and personalized care.
Dr. Brown is excited to return to the East Coast to be closer to family.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, rowing, playing the flute, and creating
pottery in her free time.
